Revealed! Xbox This Changes Everything! Next Xbox PC Hybrid Consoles Coming 2026? Xbox Series X2

Xbox has had a troubled Console Generation, twice in a row and now they have to fully change their strategy on how they'll reach gamers across multiple devices. But Xbox is promising to launch next generation Consoles soon with the most advanced and unconventional console ever and the best part, it might have more games than any other console in history! The past two Xbox console generations have been plagued with passable power and performance and the long wait for games has lowered the ability for Xbox to sale enough consoles to compete in that market. So it's surprising to hear that Microsoft is pushing Xbox to start another console generation and it could be as early as 2026 or 2027.

Imagine if Steam required a fee for multiplayer gaming, but only for users of the Steam Deck. This is essentially the situation with Xbox: Microsoft charges a multiplayer fee, but only for players on the Series S|X consoles. It is truly mind-blowing for me. Xbox needs to start treating console player with respect and remove multiplayer tax ASAP!
The reason I don't buy multiplayer games on Xbox is multiplayer tax. On Xbox I play only single player games and free to play game like Overwatch (which is my fav game btw).

Most important thing for this hybrid is that it can do Native Steam, Epic, etc store launchers while having the Xbox Store, console friendly UI, and a new robust Dev mode to run Emulators and mods for non-Xbox games.

In my personal opinion... I think at some point, both Xbox and Playstation will completely move over to PC. I think this Xbox Dashboard will be the interface when jumping to PC, with Playstation to do the same. Nintendo will be the last holdout, but I think they'll hold out for a very long time. When the next generation gets here, they need to no longer make games for the current generation, so it doesn't hold back the next one(because that's a huge problem right now).

This might be an even more controversial take, but I think the 10th generation should be the last. Have the first half working out the kinks, with the second half migrating over to PC.

I haven't owned a gaming PC for years, and I've been playing on Consoles since I was 5 years old in 1989. I will always have a love for the Consoles I grew up with, and have so many fond memories, but with PC gaming being cheaper in the longterm, not having to pay to play online, the ability to upgrade individual parts, cheaper games. The day is coming where it will be all on PC. Phil Spence doesn't like exclusives anyway, so this seems like the next logical step for Xbox. I think Playstation will follow, mainly because they're pretty much out of the competition if they don't. But that's just me.

I see people say they just want quality games. But what they mean is high reviewed games. There are plenty of quality fun games. They just refuse to play them because it doesn't review well enough for them.

For old school gamers like me that likes to buy physical games, I wonder how it will work or if we will be screwed
