You can hear this more prominently on the 4-track demo version of this song (which you can find on the "Long Live Tibet Complication" from 1997), and I think he has recorder solo! That rendition is from 1992!!

Only the Radiohead fans in the know realise the significance of this! I’ve loved them since seeing them live in a small venue in 1992 - nice to see younger generations who are also passionate! The recorder here also sounds directly in tune to Ed’s backing vocals. Good job!
