The Radiohead effect is so weird, you start off not understanding and then after a few more listens it’s the only thing you understand.

During the last 12 months I have convinced myself that Radiohead is the greatest band of all times

Love how Thom does a little dance before launching into one of the saddest songs he’s ever written. The dichotomy of Radiohead.
“As my world come crashing down/I’ll be dancing/freaking out/deaf, dumb and blind”

There are two things I like about this video:
1) Thom Yorke's quirky intro.
2) How at the end they look at each other like "wow, that sounded good." They impressed themselves. :)

I went to too many doctors, psychologists, therapists, various temples, met various gurus, none of them healed me as much as Radiohead been healing me over a decade now.

I can only listen to this song once in a while. From the first time I listened to it, it felt very special and took me somewhere unique. I didn't want to listen to it to the point where it had no impact. Another thing then doubled up the reason I can't listen to it all of the time - my mum died suddenly last May over the space of a weekend. She put up with my Radiohead obsession for years, but when I played her this song, I think for the first time she understood it. We listened to the entire song in silence. This song brings her back for me, for just a while. When I feel like I need to grieve, this song helps me through it. I would love to meet Thom Yorke and the rest of the band, but how could you ever express to them how important their music has been for you?

I’ve always liked the thought that "this dance" and "distance" might have been a phonetic game that speaks of inner space — the space between You (the Other), me, and my actual self.

I have listened to this hundreds or thousands of times already. Cried, smiled, singed together, played what Thom is playing, etc.
However, today I’ve listened one with the focus of ‘let’s just hear all that Johny is playing’.

Wow. It’s something else, he’s a really really large part of the vibe. Try it, if you haven’t yet.

Paul Thomas Anderson should direct a Radiohead concert film. It would be like how Jonathan Demme directed Stop Making Sense for Talking Heads.

AMSP was released only a few months after my ex girlfriend passed and I was really struggling. When this song came on I cried very, very hard. Still do sometimes. It's just beautiful.
Thanks, Thom.

The guitar riff that Johnny is playing is wild

For all their technical prowess, their amazingly expansive sounds, and all their engineering wizardry...this is a prime example of why I've been a fan (and love) Radiohead from their inception. Beautiful songwriting and incredible musicianship. It's what separates flash- in- the- pan and forgotten artists from the ones that you can't stop listening to....even 30 plus years later.

The most beautiful song I have ever heard! 'Makes me cry. (I'm 54, so heard thousands of great songs in my life, but this just beats them all!)

Most truly romantic guy I've ever listened to, being not cheesy or corny, just perfect.
