I have to agree it's a pretty idiotic segment. Just shows how small minded the US is becoming.

Wrong question surely. No one could Tell at this stage. The side claiming victory IS the side feeling nervous.

In a trade war there’s no winners, the only loser are the customers lol.

Well, I feel I am losing, I probably won't buy any unnecessary 'overpriced' product till this thing sets down.

If possible, stay calm and "work together to make sense, to protect righteousness together". Having the same requirements or decisions that are suitable for both parties, rather than fighting and being hurt. Instead of living in a stressful mind, worry towards simplicity, calmness and alertness.

The US has an overall trade deficit, with the China one the biggest component by far. At the end of the day, the trade deficit means that US consumers are getting more than they are actually producing. This is easy to solve: on average, US consumers just need to learn to make do with less. It's not like the USA can force other countries to consume more.

U.S. consumer price hike is a win for U.S. of A Americans don't pay more to China, they paid less. Price hike doesn't result in higher income to pay more overall, it result in buying less products but spending the same overall. Which means less import. Which means, of money Americans paid for Chinese goods, money supporting CCP is less than the past, and those "lesser amount" goes to Uncle Sam.

US overall trade deficits will forever be huge whether it buys from China, Vietnam or Timbaktoo. Why? Becos it's no longer economic to produce them inside US anymore. But, if the goods are from smaller countries, eg Vietnam, even better. U can be surethey'll be bullied more than China, although they did tried so hard w China. RememberToshiba when Japan was much smaller !
