I have nothing but respect for the Thespians. Or at least the ones who stayed behind and died with the Spartans at Thermopylae. They had a chance to leave and live another day and yet they chose to stay.

Due to its 8 shape we usually call the aspises used by hoplite like Thespians, "Beotian" because it generally appears in coins and other iconography from that erea :) while black might not have been their color, their moon theme might have come with dark blue or purple colors which is equally impressive.

They look like Myrmidon in the Sparta Facebook game in 2015-2016, their Shield look same but the Myrmidon in the game only use greek sword
