Could you please clarify why you need to use "display:inline;" in both ".logo" and ".head_text"? Also why do you use "vertical-alligne:middle;" only in ".logo" instead of in both ".logo" and ".head_text"? How can I know where to put these properties if I want to use them?

ul, ul li and ul li a is enough, no need for #top_nav in front of all of them(also no need for an id in nav tag), even a standing alone is enough if you don't have any a's coming later where you might apply a different style
