Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Cambodia, the last stop on his tour of Southeast Asia.
In an article published in local media, Xi urged Cambodia to resist protectionism. Throughout his trip, which has also included visits to Vietnam and Malaysia, Xi has vowed to stand with Southeast Asian countries in the face of economic shocks, caused by tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump.

When US visits South East Asian countries, they behave like so bossy and arogrant thinking they will bow to their demands and talk like as if they are ordering them to do this and that.. but when China visits they show respect for the poorer countries and willingness to work with them..and not tell them what to do and what not to do...

Xi’s Southeast Asia trip is smart diplomacy. Cambodia’s deep in with China’s Belt and Road, while Malaysia balances trade with China and U.S. tariff talks. ASEAN’s stuck needing both powers but can’t trade enough among themselves.

Instead of interviewing someone in Taiwan that is at odds with China you should interview a commentator possibly a non Chinese from Singapore or Indonesia. This way you get a more balanced ASEAN perspective.

Fun fact:
More than 80% of Taiwan's central bank's foreign exchange reserves are used to buy U$bonds.
Recently, it was reported that theU$ intends to issue 100-year zero-interest bonds.
Taiwan may be forced to pay the bill.

Fun fact: China has been extending a lot of financial assistance to Cambodia. visit Angkor Wat and you’ll see it right away. The people there are v grateful to the Chinese & that was before the 🍊 imposed tariffs. It’ll take decades to undo the damage US had done to themselves
