Easy Inexpensive RetroPie Bartop Arcade Machine

Check out this Bartop build for around $100! This build can run any retropie image including reys 128gb. You could also make it portable and run this bartop on a battery! Raspberry Pie 3, emulation station, retropie.

We did it under $100 because we had an old laptop lying around so the screen was free, the speaker came offof a dell monitor we never used, and we already had the pi3 lying around.

You should be able to buy everything new for around $200 - If you get used things you could build much cheaper.

Best sticks out there are Sanwa and Suzo Happ. Buttons I like legit Suzo Happ but some like Sanwa buttons, but theres no feedback and western arcades never really had sanwa parts mostly. Just what I use.

I'll probably use the same buttons, so I'm kinda curious whether they feel loose or not when you stick them into the controller board, although if the board I'll use proves to be too thin (it's 1cm) I'll probably use adhesive or give it a wrap of strings.

On the pie is there two usb connectors to fit usb ?

Had mine a few months now but having trouble with the FBA toms loading and the controls not in sync with just those games. Works fine in MAME.

I bought joysticks and buttons from amazon. I'll never do that again. Get IL or sanwa sticks and try to avoid heavy (super clicky) micro switches in your buttons. I bought before I knew better so I'll have to replace all of the controls.
