Amway Hero Awards – Mike Carroll – Patriotism | Amway

Amway honors Chief Petty Officer Mike Carroll with the Amway Hero Award for Patriotism. Learn how Mike Carroll gave compassionate service to the community and showed a strong sense of duty to country.
Mike Carroll joined the Navy, and then qualified for the Navy Seal team. He served in the United States Navy for 16 years, and started an Amway business when he left, reaching Diamond level.
Nine years after leaving the Navy seals, following the terrorist attack of 9/11/2001, Mike decided to try to re-enlist in the Navy. At first, Navy doctors told him that his hips were failing, but Mike Carroll got hip resurfacing surgery, recovered, and then re-qualified for the Navy, serving with distinction in Iraq.
In addition to his service during the War on Terror, Mike Carroll was also a member of the United States Navy official parachute demonstration team “The Leap Frogs”. This team is made up of active-duty Navy Seals, Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC), and support personnel.
