When I lived in CA I had to evacuate 9 dogs, 8 horses, and anything alive. The chickens were the only ones left. Scary does not describe the fear that fire around a farm or anyone who loves their animals have. 🤗

It’s not much but it’s what I can do. Glad you, Daniel, the dogs, and Sakura are safe❤. I’ve been meaning to donate sooner as Maple’s story makes me think of my childhood cat(may she rest in peace). We don’t know where my cat was before she came to us as she just wandered into our yard, she was abandoned. I think she might have come from breeders. The vet thought she might’ve been pregnant when we got her but she wasn’t. She also hated whenever we even get near her stomach she always scratch at us when we would tried(which wasn’t often as we learned that fast). She was also afraid of people. She was fine with us, but whoever we had guests she would hide. What I think happened was that she was able to get pregnant so the breeders just abandoned her. I don’t know and I’ll never know for sure, but I’m glad she ended up with my family. So I’m donating in her honor for Maple and the puppies who came from a similar situation to hers.

True story that I think you'll appreciate. During the 2017 Houston floods from Hurricane Harvey, a woman came across a family of four with their nine pets in a station wagon at a convenience store. She took them to her home where they lived together until the family could return home. I LOVE her and I LOVE the people who refused to go to the convention center without the WHOLE family.

As a person with twenty pets, I can't imagine the stress you endured getting them to safety 😢 SO thankful you're ok. Things don't MATTER, but they matter.

Being from South Louisiana we evacuate for hurricanes. I keep a "Pack" list of important items I have to pack so I don't spend anymore brain energy thinking about it than I have to. We're usually on the phone searching for a place to stay, checking out gas stations, etc. This would also be useful if you have to leave after an earthquake. Wow, that must have been an intense experience! I'm so glad to hear that everyone made it through safely, especially the fur babies! What a wild ride to evacuate with 11 dogs and a cat! You're a hero for managing all that chaos! 🐾❤️
