California residents flee their home as wildfires spread

Residents of Los Angeles have fled deadly wildfires engulfing the suburbs of the West Coast megalopolis, as firefighters struggled to contain the flames overnight amid fears they would worsen.

Tanner Charles posted this footage to X saying 'video of the moment my friend and I abandoned his house after we tried to save what we could. Please be praying for him and his family.'

You can’t wait to leave until the fire is at your front door. With tornadoes, do you think we wait until it blows our windows out before taking cover? I understand not wanting your home and possessions to be destroyed. There’s been so much of that last year and already this year. But you can return when it’s over to see what’s there. If you don’t evac early, you may not get that chance. And staying too late puts many other lives in jeopardy.
