Delicious Turkey Necks / Mattie’s Kitchen

#MattiesKitchen, in this video Mattie will be showing you how to cook some "Braised Turkey Necks with Rice and Gravy." Not everyone eats neck bones but you don’t know what you are missing. If you can’t afford to buy a whole turkey this is the recipe is for you. Turkey necks are considered dark meat which makes them so flavorful and juicy. These turkey necks are first oven baked until golden brown then braised in a chicken broth mixed with fresh ingredients and served over a bed of rice. Keep in mind they do require a relatively long time to cook. However, when done right, they always come out delicious and tender. When I was a child she cooked them by boiling until tender added gray served with rice sometimes she added potatoes or egg noodles it's great I'm cooking some today smothered with speckled peas with cut okra over rice with good old corn bread I pray it comes out great
