It's actually pretty old knowledge we just forgot it due to the fact fist generations ryzens heavily depended on fast RAM, but was struggling in RAM oc and single rank is usually more stable.

Nice sum up you did there. I got myself a 2x16gig 3600 16-16-16-36 kit and was already freaking out when I read that 4-sticks outperformed 2-sticks. The info I was missing there was them being 4 SR vs 2 SR sticks. For me going even tighter timed or higher clocks was not feasible, the cost just ramps up too hard from there on.
