MS-specific research 🔬 shows that ANY amount of movement is BETTER than massive movement!

When it comes to neuroplasticity 🧠, a little movement can go a loooong way towards reaching goals of improving your walking quality & endurance + your strength and balance!

Bust MOST of the time, when a client of mine with MS feels like they're barely moving with a specific exercise... they think it's not a good fit for them and move on to something else 🤦‍♀️.

Which is the WORST thing you can do!

Keep practicing specific muscle strengthening exercises 💪… even when the amount of movement you see is small (almost non-existent) movement!

Continuing to practice in this way will allow your brain to find & strengthen neural pathways that will result in better strength AND movement 🚶‍♀️!

→Will it be tough (& frustrating)? 😩 No doubt.
→Worth it? 💃 Absolutely!

Effort is greater than Movement. Remember that!

I was told, years before my diagnosis, just thinking about exercising is beneficial. Not just neuroplastisity, there are changes in hormone levels and chemicals in the brain.

Thank you! Each time I do some foot/leg movements, I keep in mind, lifting if barely continue to do so raise/lift, raise/lift.

I’ll start exercising and not just sit here 😉

Oh yeah and sipping water and drinks instead of gulping helped a lot with my bladder issues who would have thought 🤔

Although I don’t remember where, I have heard of people who could make only minimal or even imperceptible movements (or attempts) and after continual (&
crucially, I believe, unending) perseverance made monumental improvements in mobility 😃😃😃😃
