STIPPLING explained in 5 minutes

Stippling is one of the best speedpainting or time efficient methods that you can use to paint miniatures with a great result in no time. In this video you will learn how to stipple on your miniatures, so you can paint better and faster as well!

Unfortunately stippling is underutilized for the most part, but I have come to realize that stippling is one the most speedpainting friendly technique that you can use on your miniatures. Not only that you can use it to paint very nice blends on the miniatures, but if you thin your paint enough, you can still get very smooth gradients or even paint non metallic metal. Of course, stippling is best used in conjunction with other miniature painting techniques for the best result, but even stippling alone can get you very far!

As you can see, you can be very rough here, but even this "new" space marine armor can be painted by stippling it. Since this technique has a great control over the paint and applied layer, I would say this miniature painting technique is taking the best from drybrushing in terms of speed and layering/glazing in terms of control you have.

This video took me over 40 - 50 hours to put together when I include filming, editing and painting the miniature. If you want to support what I am doing here, consider subscribing to my channel and giving this video thumbs up. Thanks! 👊
EDIT: Guys, as always you can combine stippling with other blending methods! Many of you mentioned that it might be good to stipple basic gradient and go over it with a few glazes - YES! Definitely go and do that :)

I really appreciate the "in under 5 minutes" approach. You explain the topics quickly and precisely, making your videos super valuable as a reference to watch again if needed.
I guess my next Space Marine will be painted with this technique for practice ;)

The fact you do this in under 5 minutes sets you so far ahead from many other creators. I love a detailed 25 minute guide to study, but if I'm about to do something or need a refresher this format is exactly where I go. Keep it up, do everything. Thank you!

Love your channel man. You are dispelling how intimidating a lot of advanced techniques can be.

Man I don't know what I love more. The info, the accent, the hair, the beard or the humor. 10/10

Keep doing your 5 minute videos! You're making some very difficult topics easier to approach for many viewers. I also loved your bases idea. Simplicity is great, but making sure it's actually simple is the best. Keep up your work! I very much appreciate it.

You are single handedly making my introduction to painting miniatures seem less intimidating

I've been away from the tabletop gaming and miniature painting scene for a few years now, and back when I did paint minis I usually went for pretty safe and simple approaches like basecoat/wash/highlight. I've bought some minis over the past year and I think it's time I get back to painting and try challenging myself with new techniques like this. Love the videos.

Will definitely try this out. Blending has been a big hurdle for me and this might actually help me big time since I'm garbage at it. Keep up the great work!

How do you not subscribe to this guy? I've watched so many painting tutorials and while they're great painters, this guys is, by a wide margin, a much better teacher

My results went way up thanks to this video. Faces, muscles and cloaks now all look more natural because of stippling. Very beginner friendly technique to learn about color mixtures as well. Thank you so much for all the content!

I'm so happy I found your channel, as I'm just starting out in the hobby. I really like that you have so many videos on brush techniques, as I don't use an airbrush, not yet anyway. I'm currently going through all your videos in the background as I'm painting. Luckily I don't have to worry about time, as I don't play the game. I paint for the sake of painting, so all my minis will be display pieces. Thank you for all your hard work.
