3 Steel Finishes in Under a Minute

*SUBSCRIBE* Steel finishes have come a long way with dies, stains and plating that can be done in the home shop. But they all start with the same foundation. Before you apply a finish its important to consider the base metal finish. There are three basic approaches to steel finishing and they are orbital sander, buffing wheel or wire wheel. I was going for some mid century modern lines and I think I ended up with an adaptation of that style. This will hold the computer screen that operates the cnc plasma table which you can find on my channel.

I really like the 2nd technique, i like it better then when its finished all of the way, i'm going to try to spray clear coat over it.
Is there a name for the 2nd technique?

I have a question first time dealing with stainless steel and i wire brushed a Stainless steel bbq pit Lid with a steel wire rush and the next day i saw that rust was appearing and i heavily scratched it with the wire wheel, can this be fixable? I was told to maybe use a stainless steel wire wheel too see if it works? Please help!
