Artist Jimmy Leslie talks us through the character of Liquitex Heavy Body acrylic color, the thickest viscosity in the Liquitex range. Watch it at work on the canvas as Jimmy shows us what it can do - great for impasto brush strokes and thicker applications.

Please note - this video features old packaging.

I must say, when it comes to pigments, Liquitex is amazing! The cadmium yellow light I have from you guys is to die for. Much appreciation for the product.

Wow! I understood. I've watched so many videos, long videos and didn't quite get it. Thanks.

This is addressed to your artist Jimmy Leslie - So when other artists break any colour by adding water, it means that the colour may crack?? I work with Liquitex basics and use Liquitex pouring medium to thin it. Is the ratio always 1part paint 10 parts pouring medium? Why don’t I get cells???? What can I do to achieve that.
Thank you

I like the intermixability of the products however I've experienced when you mix Ink with Soft Body this results in an overall loss of luminosity/intensity (basically dull color) versus just mixing Soft Body/Heavy Body. I tried it with Magenta(Ink) and Portrait Pink(Soft Body).
