Greatest thing about Dr. Tyson is that he can just talk about anything, but he always maintains the scientific temperment. I also thinks he is most interested either in teaching or schools in general.

I’m 64 I remember my first school bus trip to San Antonio Texas Mrs . Baird’s bread factory when we went through the place when all done we got a bakers hat, a pencil, and a peace of that warm fresh bread. It was fun.

Favorite class trip was in 5th grade, so 1978. We studied Japan, then went to a Japanese restaurant with traditional Japanese culture demonstrations.
It was when I realized how big the world is, and how each culture is important.

I’m 71 and I remember going to the Bluebell ice cream creamery in Brenham, Texas when I was in elementary school. It was about a 30 trip outside Houston and I love to talk about it still!

I remember in the 80s in elementary school, we went to a planetarium that had built a new dome to show the universe when you look up. That forever stuck in my head

The number one predictor of a memories longevity is the emotional highs of lows associated with it, so in this example all of the kids are so excited to get out and see new stuff and get the day off of actual school the emotions solidify those memories for a long time.

I remember taking a trip to the Museum of National History back in 5th grade and that started my love of history. Went again in 6th grade and loved it even more

That’s so true. Got the pleasure of seeing Dr. Tyson speak at our local planetarium on a school trip.
