MISSING TV ANCHOR'S SECRET FLING WITH MYSTERY MAN BEFORE SHE DISAPPEARS?

Morning news anchor for KIMV-TV, Jodi Huisentruit normally arrives by 3:30 a.m. to prepare to go on at 6 a.m. When Huisentruit doesn't arrive at the studio by 4 a.m., producer Amy Kuns calls the 27-year-old, apparently waking her up. Huisentruit says she is heading to the station right away. Huisentruit never arrives and doesn't answer any other calls. At 6 a.m. producer, Amy Kuns fills in for Huisentruit. When she finishes, Kuns calls the police asking for a welfare check. 

At 7:16 AM police at Huisentruit's apartment complex find her red Mazda Miata in the parking lot. They also discover a pair of red women’s dress shoes, a blow dryer, bottle of hair spray, car keys and earrings scattered beside the car, along with a bent car key. There are signs of a struggle. Police begin a missing persons investigation for Jodi Huisentruit.

I'm only a third of the way through this so I don't know if this was corrected.... Nancy Jodi was not abducted in the parking lot at her work. It was the parking lot at her apartment complex. She hadn't even got in her car yet.

It was John Vansyse. He definitely didn't look at her as a 'daughter'. He was obsessed with her. I think she told him she met a great guy and wanted to date him and John snapped. He just spent a ton of money on a surprise bday party for her, named his boat after her, and no doubt bought her dinner and drinks all the time. He did it.

Being a teacher and having to leave in the early morning hours, this case was ALWAYS on my mind… no one around, same routine, dark in winter… etc. Years went by and being hyper vigilant saved my life. I was teaching in Las Vegas and was newly divorced. The creep that went after me turned out to be a newly released from prison sexual offender. He lacked the element of surprise thanks to Jodi’s case. I got away. It was the scariest experience I’ve ever had. I knew in my gut that he was out for a kill. Hyper vigilance ladies! The life it saves will be your own! 😵‍💫

I work in the town in central MN where Jodi grew up. Went to the same college she did. She was on our local Alexandria news station before she went to Iowa. One day I was sitting in the coffee shop on campus and she was at the next table interviewing someone. So pretty and professional! Just tragic for her and her family.
