The big player sets a screen and the ball handler uses the space created to move the ball. Simple, yet effective, that’s what the Pick and Roll is.

But why is it so effective? Why has no one developed a way to defend it? How has it developed?

I think you guys still have some work to do on the basketball channel. For football, you have great minds that know football in and out and I don't think it has translated yet. From calling the pick n roll a "move" at the start of the video to the descriptions of PNR defenses at the end which focused on the on-ball defender only, which is inherently flawed. Also, ICE coverage was missed which is still very common in the NBA on side on-balls. Despite this, we need more of you in the basketball world, keep going!
