One girlfriend I had years ago would wear sweatpants at home around me, but dress up and make up when going to work. One day I had to find her because of a family emergency and was driving to where she worked, but on the way I had to pass her bosses house. I noticed her car in his stopped there and knocked on the front door where he answered it in his bath

This is not only true of many females. Males do it as well. I know of no males that decompress at home in a suit. But I do know I have heard some smart girls lately say the man they go out with needs to be dressed up when out and about. I am glad I have left the need to falsely impress behind.

CONFIDENCE: A lot of women lack the self confidence to face the world with their own natural beauty (no makeup). After age 50, this changes for most of us but prior to, most women need more supportive parents, friends, partners and spouses who encourage her to focus on the beauty within, not what’s on the outside!!

I wore makeup from 13 to 35 daily. I was convinced I was ugly without it. It wasn’t until I was a young mother (at 26) that I began to realize nobody cared if I looked runway ready or Saturday morning casual. After 35 I stopped wearing full blown makeup & hair on a regular basis and went totally bare on weekends and found out that nobody was running the other way screaming and waving their arms above their heads!!

After 45, I pretty much stopped almost altogether (except for a few rare occasions). After 60, nobody in my friend / co-worker circle knows what I look like WITH makeup and guess what……. I don’t remember either nor do I care!!!! LOL

It’s all about finding who you are inside and getting comfortable with that person. The sooner you do it, the happier your life will be - I promise!! Not putting on a mask everyday with hair and makeup is EXTREMELY freeing and works wonders to help you find and keep your own voice!!!

I understand that for sure. Being a guy l am relaxed at home and don't shave if I'm not about to go out . I don't really wear my better clothes if I'm staying home . When I was married l always got up and shaved, ect. but not any more .

So I'm a stay at home mom and I actually enjoy doing things like putting on a little makeup wearing pretty but comfy dress because it does personally make me feel good. I started this at the beginning of the pandemic before I had my child because I noticed it helped shape my mentality for the day. In a sense tending to myself regardless of who is to sees it because it just felt good. So she could be speaking to some but there are plenty of people who like to look nice for their personal enjoyment.
