Fun fact: The reason on why Kratos doesn't address Atreus by his name has to do with Kratos being a Spartan. Spartans are famous for a few things, one of which is laconism. The primary point of Laconism is to be blunt and brief. It's the mindset of the Spartan culture, and its similar to how modern militaries communicate. The objective is to get the point across with as few syllables as possible.
