Anakin Says 'Padme Help Me' Before Becoming Darth Vader

If you listen closely, you hear anakin say “Epstein didn’t kill himself” before the helmet goes on. George Lucas is truly a brilliant director.

In all seriousness, dude story has to be one of the most tragic in fiction. Anakin chased love and power for the majority of his early life and in the end was stripped of both. Losing his mother, wife and unborn child(to his knowledge) and being stuck right back into servitude, just a shadow of what his ability use to be. Symbolically he was cast to hell until his son came and pulled him from the flames.

People keep saying his vocal cords were damaged. But, if I recall, he was screaming while the droids were working on him, just before it cuts to Padme giving birth, so Idk how badly they really were damaged because his screams sure didn't sound raspy.

Realistically he actually says nothing, it's a machinary hydrolic sound, to the mask being fastened to the neck peice. But with constant rewatching I can nearly hear the hydrolic sounds form more into lingering fast said words. So maybe this was done on purpose, or maybe its the power of one's subconsciousness to dream what they like into existence

"You were my brother Anakin" said Obi Wan Calmly after peacefully cutting his arms and legs.

Even though it's not shown in this scene, the emotion and desperation in his (Anakin's/Vader's) voice after Palpatine tells him that Padme died because of Anakin's/Vader's actions, is heartbreaking. It's as if the last and only good thing in his life has finally been taken from him due to his own rage and ambition.

Even at his worse moment he was still thinking about her. And genuinely worried for her. I feel even more bad for both of them.

It sounds more like Anakin was saying "We're reaching you about your car's extended warranty"

You can just barely hear him, desperately calling out "Padme help me, " just before the helmet closes over him completely. His voice is (obviously) strained and raw because his vocal chords were damaged along with the rest of his insides as well as the outside of his body. He was burned from the inside out by the lava. He was being kept alive only by the fact that he was so highly concentrated in Midichlorians . . . so highly concentrated in the Force . . . that his willpower was the only thing keeping him alive at that point. He desperately wanted to know that Padme and their "baby" were safe, and it was the news that Padme (and, he assumed, their child) were dead that turns Anakin into Darth Vader.

In his vision of Padme dying, she was screaming “Anakin, help me”

It’s the sound of his helmet being attached finally nothing to do with “Padme help me”. You’ve all been lead to believe this is the true thing Anakin does before his final moments as he transitions to Vader fully

After listening a few times all I can hear is “Help Me” but TBH that could just be because I’m trying to hear something so my mind is trying to make the sound of the hydraulics into a frase. 🤷‍♂️

Idk where people get the idea that we’re imagining it. It absolutely sounds like he’s saying “Padme help me.” The sound is super easy to make out and it sounds like Hayden’s whisper and it also makes sense for him to say it here.

He actually became Darth Vader when he helped Sidous kill Windu and became his new apprentice

Oh my gosh i actually heard it, if you listen closely he’s says “padme help me”, the only clutch part is that he says it fast

He actually says “padme help me, I can’t believe I’m still alive in this black suit, I betrayed obi wan, come find me. When you come, can you check my Jedi vest, I may have left my light saber in there.”

If you listen you hear a heartbeat the whole time. Padme's heartbeat. And it ends when he completed the transformation to vader

It would be cool for them to show Vader’s thoughts as the helmet is lowering and he’s realizing what he is becoming.
