Well he's an actor not a seal. The fact he did that course gives him perspective on what they can do.

Heard so many stories about SEAL candidates doing great until they hit the cold water. It weeds out the majority who won’t make it through selection.

He plays a seal in the show “the terminal list” on prime. It’s good.

Going back to the origins of the SEALs, UDT’s created a cold water training centre in preparation for if Operation Downfall (the invasion of the Japanese mainland) was approved. It necessary to create this type of training centre since the immediate waters around Japan were cold enough to cause hypothermia if swam in for too long. This change caused several UDT’s to lose a large amount of personnel. One noticeable example was UDT 9, which lost 70% of its man power due to the addition of cold water training in B.U.D.

So this is why his acting in the series The Terminal List is very magnificient!

Considering he is an actor and not someone who actually wants to be a Seal I’d say he did a decent job

I tip my hat to him for competing in the first place.

There's a reason why they say that water is the ultimate equilizer

To be fair, that water is pretty damn cold. Hypothermia is no joke....obstacles can be overcome but sometimes your body just cant take extremes. And thats ok...the fact he put himself thru any of it is a testament to his character in general. As a veteran, i respect the more than most will ever hope to do with their lives

I swear Chris Pratt is such a phenomenal actor and he plays an operative so well that one would think he was in the service in a past life ❤

The cold water is the separation of men and boys.

He's a true actor, has a real deal with his job and his fans. It's also a way tô promove the Navy.

Let’s not forget it wasn’t long ago that Pratt was Andy from Parks and Rec. He’s worked hard to get to where he’s at physically and theatrically

Definitely but on Perspective what Seal Teams are capable of. The unit he portrayed DevGru is a whole other level.

It's crazy that their candidates worked to get into an incredibly fit shape and a low body fat percentage to then get into freezing cold water where the body fat would help.

The sweat salt on the shirt is a nice touch 😂 😂😂

So....he did what every actor who plays in a war movie does....he worked out. Fascinating.

He also completed a 70.3 Ironman race when he was less fit and much heavier. Just beat the total time cuttoff if memory serves. It was damn hot that day too.
