Someone on BlueSky has already brought this up (Wikimon), but given the main protagonist's partner Digimon's reptilian design and the moon on its forehead, it appears to be a play on words: Gecko (ゲッコー) and Gekkō (月光; lit. "Moonlight") are homophones.

Note that Gekomon (ゲコモン) is already taken, but not Geckomon/Gekkomon (ゲッコーモン).

Keep up the news and regular updates! Its hard to find a good digimon channel...which is understandable given how the franchise has been the last few years but damn we got everything we need right now and digimon has everything it needs right now to really start growing in popularity again

I don't know much about the context of the latest animes and whatnot, but I do like the ominous looking of the poster, specially if it means that the protagonist and partner are not that "positive happy go lucky" type of character. Other than that, I'm down to check it out fully if there's some sort of group and not just one or two characters being the focused, I'm an RPG guy, I like my party members
