Putting an engineer in charge could be the beginning of a recovery for Boeing.

This is a major win for Boeing, and I'm glad they were able to meet most of the union's proposals for their workers. This agreement should help Boeing significantly, not only by getting planes back into production but also by improving worker morale through bonuses and other benefits. These provisions will encourage workers to maintain high quality standards. Additionally, if the union’s contract includes protections against management pressure to rush production, it could address quality assurance issues. If everything goes well, with strong years in 2025 and 2026, Boeing could regain its position as a leading aircraft manufacturer—delivering planes that meet and exceed customer expectations while rebuilding public trust. Lastly, Boeing made a smart move by hiring a CEO with a background in aerospace engineering and avionics, who has firsthand experience with the company’s past challenges. This leadership could be key to Boeing’s future success. I'm excited to see what comes next.

IAM 751, not iama. final offer accepted 38%/4yr(43% when compounded), reinstated yearly bonus, $7k signing bonus & $5k 401k deposit can be combined, 401k deposited, or cashed out lump sum as EE sees fit. extra 25% match to 8% for 401k. minor medical and other changes.

It's pretty much been McDonnell Douglas under Boeings' name since they merged. All the recent behavior from Boeing reeks of McDonnell Douglas and their profit first management style. Hopefully, Kelly can bring back the boeng from before the merger.

Stay strong Boeing but I do hope someday somehow that the higher ups who introduced the profit over safety culture into Boeing get what's coming to them.

Just when will their planes get certification and the planes are deemed safe? Workers' wages are one thing but the product is another.

You should mention it represents only 32.000 employees

Just maybe, Boeing has come to realise that having the corporation under the thrall of number crunchers is actually counter productive to making profit from an integrated, inclusive management strata. The jury will be out for some time, but there are encouraging signs that there is genuine eagerness to rebuild the corporation back to the respected reputation it once had, rather than the constant butt of derision rightfully heaped upon it.

Brit here. Now all American workers need strong unions- to get them level with the rest of the world-starting with at least 3weeks paid holiday ! Then paid time off for new baby.
Regulation for the working week-not left to the employers desire.

Boeing is just going to outsource more to offset the employee cost...ultimately, quality goes downhill.

When Boeing stops accepting substandard late work from subcontractors and "making it work" on the shop floor there will remain a problem.

‘”Marketing” is the absolute worst branch of airlines and manufacturers for aircraft design and reliability.
