The Boeing 777X is inching ever so closer to being certified by airlines, and now it's one step closer to being approved, thanks to new reports. The manufacturer has finally a clear pathway to certification and while it'll take time it's the first positive indication for the program for some time.

While Emirates and Lufthansa have expressed concerns, Lufthansa remains confident in the 777X, unlike Emirates.

I've been lucky to see N779XW on a couple of runs over Coeur d'Alene. It's a jaw dropping bird. As elegant a flyer as the white pelican. Just beautiful.

The 777X looks very graceful indeed! I can see some of both the 777 and 787 in its ancestry. Hopefully it will enter service on time! :)

It’ll be a big winner long term.It’s effectively a 744 consuming 30% less fuel ( and operating costs).Both the 747 and the 380 are out of production for ever.The 350 is one size down effectively.
Note the RR geared fan.There has to be a reason they are building it to the size they are.

My Prayers goes out too both Boeing & Airbus on working closely with there New Planes Boeing 777X & Airbus A321XLR I hope too fly on them soon God's Willing whenever there release in the upcoming years!!!!

While all these delays are a pain for airlines waiting for them, I certainly prefer this than a plane full of people, drop out the sky. Safety first Always

Having recently flown on both Emirates 777 and their 380 I have to say that the 380 was noticably more quiet and comfortable. It's a pity that it isn't produced any longer.

I for one can not wait for the 777x take to the skies. I'm hopong that when Lufthansa takes delivery of their first plane, I can get on it's inaugural flight.

I believe TIA will begin mid year! So by late 24 it should be certified and early 2025 deliveries will commence.

Should see some being painted into customer colours next year if all looks good
