From what I've read of the book, the separating out of humans, duardin, and aelves encourages a regimental style of army building to do mixed race forces. something i've considered is running the shooting damage dealers as humans, but the defensive wall being duardin, maybe with a small dark elf force to grab secondaries and objectives.
