MY FILMING GEAR

MY FAVORITE CRIME BOOKS

Betsy Aardsma planned on joining the Peace Corps, but to be closer to her boyfriend, decided to enroll as a graduate student at Penn State. In 1969, her life ended suddenly, in front of many witnesses, and nobody knew who the killer was. Was it the Zodiac Killer?

Possibly an instructor? Based on description of clothing and his quick wits in yelling that girl needs help! Thank you so much for this interesting month of case reviews. We all appreciate the hours, late nights and research you've put in on it. Who knows, maybe this review will bring someone out of the woodwork who knows something.

Well, darn, this is the end of the Zodiac series. I don’t want it to end, 😆! I’ve really enjoyed all your videos. Thanks so much, Gavin. I’m looking forward to seeing your next video, whatever it may be. 😉

It wasnt Zodiac. He was in HS when he first Killed but he did not leave SF area till 75, at which time he lived in Middle East, if Z340 first 4 lines were solved correctly you would all know.

As a Penn State alum, this case has always fascinated me. One thing that I think really (possibly) ties it in with Cheri Jo Bates and thus to Zodiac: the desktop poem found at the Riverside college library mentioning the girl wearing the red dress, since Betsy was wearing a red dress at the time of her murder. A self-fulfilling prophecy by Zodiac? Also, just one correction to the title of the video: there is one older unsolved murder at Penn State. Rachael Taylor was murdered in 1940, walking from the bus station to her dorm; her killer was never identified.

OMG! I remember this, i lived there and was in 10th grade. It was so scary, but we didn’t have internet then, so wasn't a lot of info out. Always wondered about this case.

Thanks for the video.

I got my first master's degree from Penn State. I was there much later, and a murder occurred while I was there.

To me it is obvious that Betsy Aardsma was murdered by one of three people either the Zodiac Killer, somebody who who read the Riverside College Library desktop poem or the person who wrote the Riverside College Library Desktop Poem if The Zodiac wasn't the one who wrote the poem. Personally I think the Zodiac Killer was the one who wrote the poem and is the one who killed Betsy.

RICHARD HAEFNER did kill Betsy and it was bc she rejected him bc she was already in a relationship and my great uncle didnt like rejected so he killed her. The zodiac killer had nothing to do with her death nor did she see anything she wasn't supposed to she was stalked to the library once my uncle found her he did what he did and he was very smart not only was he a geologists but he did know law and knew alot of medical stuff too.

Not Z. Did the naive kid possibly stumbled upon a male homosexual hookup spot?
