Anyone can find examples of politically incorrect, sexist and overtly bigoted advertisements from past 100 years. An example is a crying woman who has burnt the dinner and her husband says "its okay, at least you didn't burn the beer" I hope you enjoy and find a giggle in the following ads and also see that we have not come as far as we need to.

👏PS too; Find a Pic of the 70’s Road Billboard Safety ad that read “ HAVE YOU BELTED YOUR CHILD TODAY ?”, - Our Autos come with Seatbelts for Every Passenger!

I wasn't quite as young as that baby getting a bottle of Seven Up. My Dad let me have Seven Up at age 4. Started drinking Pepsi a yr later. Still here at age 62!

"What does Rod Marsh do with his Vaseline Petroleum Jelly?"
I can't say for sure, of course, but with a name like "Rod", I can take an educated guess . . .

I love you. Now get me a beer. Oh god I'm rolling. I relate too though. Sometimes it's my husband's way of ending a disagreement.

The one that made me cringe the most was: "4 out of 5 men want Oxfords...in these new Van Heusen styles". Black guy with bone in hair and huge ring in the nose. wrong...

A number of these are sad that they are considered so wildly offensive. The ad...."You don't have to be Jewish to love Levy's. (real Jewish rye) with a graphic of an American Indian. So Racially mature and encouraging this ad was. Like Jews and American Indians actually had a sense of humor. Actually crediting people with an opportunity to participate in the joke and show good humor. Too much racial agitation by the media these days.

I find today's insurance ads offensive. I also think all the "mixed race family" ads are just kissing someone's butt.

people, who laugh at the ad of the pregnant woman, smoking a ciggarette, because it is said to lead to premature, or underdeveloped babbies, should know that my mam smoked, all the time she was pregnant with my younger brother & me. he was born at a perfectly normal 7 pound, 8 ounces, & i was born as a big, beefy 10 & a half pounder, so that explodes that myth!

Most of these aren't politically incorrect, I see ads like this all the time, I just got an add in the mail for erection pills.

I don't think the Levy's rye bread ad at 6:30 is particularly offensive. It's meant in good fun.

As utterly ridiculous as all of this seems to us now, decades down the road, people are going to look back and say the same thing about us. It'll happen, just wait.

This is how America rolled back in the day. Nobody really gave a shit. If these ads were here today everybody's panties would be in knots!

I hope I don't sound like some druggie "huffer" weirdo by asking, but I was really struck by this ad early on at 32 seconds mark in the video, with the Sky Chief gasoline - "Why does gasoline smell good?" - I never saw this ad before and it gave me a nostalgic, flashback kinda feeling to probably when I was not even a teenager yet, and the smell of gasoline anytime my parents pulled into a station in New Jersey, and my 3 siblings and I would always start sniffing away and LOVED the smell - did other kids in the 70s experience this?

The one of the pregnant woman smoking
was kinda repulsive!
SEE THE FRAULEINS WITH THE BIG JUGS
was just brilliantly funny.
How did the LUX MIMSY ad ever get passed?

At least some of these are fake; Red Apple isn't a real brand of cigarettes. It's a prop brand that was created for and first shows up in Pulp Fiction, and has since been common to a lot of Tarantino/Rodriguez films.

Some of the ads are real (I remember a few of them) but some of them are fakes.
