Watching the modern game industry implode is honestly more entertaining than any of the games at this point. I can’t wait for it to completely collapse & (hopefully) get rebooted into something sane again. Fingers crossed but my hopes are low.

I am a huge Gears of War fan. However, in GOW5 they crapped all over James, the son of the legend Marcus Phoenix, in favor of a girl boss. They made James out to be an incompetent war criminal and then sidelined him. In multiplayer I usually played as James as an eff U to the coalition and sweet baby inc. I am very CAUTIOUSLY optimistic for GOW6.

Like Arch said, now that the DEI crowd is losing ground among fans and seeing all their project and culture takeovers turn to dust; they will try to act like political moderates to try to coax the fans back. Or at least try to shame the fans into thinking the fans themselves are the problem. Continue to reject them and you will see a complete victory.

I agree, we're not "winning". The YouTubers who say we've already reached "peak woke" and it's all downhill from here are wrong. That's a cope. It's wishful thinking. It can get worse and very much still is. We have to keep pushing back strongly for a lot longer before this will start to subside.

It’s funny how everyone unanimously loved Doom Dark Ages, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater and Gears of War E-Day. It’s almost as if listening to your fans actually rewards you with positive feedback 🙃

My bigger concerns are honestly the gameplay for Perfect Dark and the art style for Fable. The original Perfect Dark was great because it was just a sci fi Goldeneye that you could play co-op with your friends, the sequel had some really odd mechanical changes that really did not need the rolling around or cover system.

The original Fable games had cartoony style that meshed really well with the comedic tone of the series which I am not sure having an ultra realistic style would be right for.
