"2023 HAS THE HIGH SPEED HDMI CABLE INCLUDED!" Myself, just looking to see how I'd hook up my receiver to my Roku Ultra. My TV is older with hdmi capabilities however not with audio, it runs from the tv sound screech‐×^*! (with a ton of treble 😩). Great video!!
Thanks so much 🥰

I just got a Roku Express+ and I have a very similar Yamaha AVR. Connected everything as you instructed. Now I have surround sound when using my Roku!! Before finding your video, I didn't understand what the HDMI out port was for, as I didn't install my surround sound system myself. Thanks for the knowledge.

Excellent video! This is just what I was looking for, but I had no idea that it would be so good. I really appreciated the step by step explanation to most. Thank you.

I’m using an older Receiver and my theater setup has taking me 15 years to get right.
My issue is i can only use an optical for my audio not hdmi.
So hdmi from the device to the back of my 90” then optical out from that device to the opt in on my receiver.
I guess i need a Roku device that supports that same setup! I need a direct optical audio option, so which Roku do i need?
This has been much harder to find than i ever thought!
Thanks for any info!

Some AVRs have a network port. How do I get content? Where does the ethernet cable go into? The Roku or the AVR?

I have a Roku thats connected directly to TV. Chromecast (older model) too. Digital optical cable (OUT) from TV to AVR (IN). So I get all my Roku content directly to TV, same with anything cast thru Chromecast. All audio is sent ti AVR as digital signal so great sound. Question: what (if any) would be the additional benefit of connecting the Roku and Chromecast to my AVR instead? Under current setup, If I only want to watch regular TV or cast something (and don't need stereo sound) it allows me to bypass the AVR (it also doesn't require two bulky HDMI cables running to/from TV to AVR). Plz help me see the added benefit.

Just received my Roku Streambar and have it hooked through my Yamaha RXV471 receiver as you have shown, thanks for the video by the way.. I have video, but sound will only come from the Roku. I tried following what Roku said to check, but still no luck.

One problem I have when going from the (Denon )receiver's ARC HDMI output to the ARC TV HDMI input is the picture is washed out, so I have to go into one of the TV's non-ARC HDMI inputs. It is a Sony Bravia TV. Not sure what the issue is.

Okay just got a brand new receiver (Yamaha TSR700 and setup a new 65” LG nanocell tv with a Roku Streaming Stick+. I set it up as you described, with the Arc HDMI, I’m finding however some issues if I switch inputs and then go back to the Roku I just get a blank screen. Any ideas with that one?

Olá! Para ter 4K com Receiver antigo basta ligar somente o Cabo Ótico na TV e no Receiver, e liga o Roku na TV com cabo HDMI na saída ARC! Vai te dar um som Dolby Digital 5.1.
