I booked, earlier this year, an 11 day Alaska cruise out of San Francisco for May 2024 with Princess. Last week I priced out my same cabin category and it is now $900.00 cheaper. Princess changed my booking to reflect new price. 🎉🎊🥰😃😃

You misunderstood the best price guarantee--it's guaranteed for 72 hours after booking, not before sailing, according to their site. So it's basically worthless.

LOL. 18 degrees C, isn't that like 65 degrees F? Out here in California my wife is running the AC at night to get the house cooled down to 65 so she can sleep! Good thing you are a renter, tell your landlord to drop off some space heaters until they get the central heat fixed.

I always look on line for cruises I have already booked to see if it's at a cheaper rate. If it is I call my travel agent and tell her I want the sale price. I've saved a lot of money by doing this

Landlord should supply alternative heating!! Heaters etc.. you are still paying for that but not getting it

I think Princess is delusional if they think that raising prices on a cruise as it gets closer to the departure, will work out for them financially. First off, they are not the only cruise company. And if someone is looking for a last minute cruise, their competition will be discounting prices on their last minute cruises while Princess is raising prices. And cruisers are always looking for the best deal. I think Princess is going to have more empty cabins, than less. And in the end, to make ends meet, Princess will end up discounting like every other cruise company.

Early book, lowest price guaranteed still sounds like a hook. Claiming no more last-minute deals with a caveat of price matching means they will do last minute deals. The onus is on the early booker to quickly maneuver before the sail date to verifiably claim the price match. Even supermarkets weasel their way out of price match by claiming the advertised are not the same.

I don’t trust Princess at all. They added charges after my full payment in July. Added charges were put on in august. Trust princess…….no

We have been getting lots of marketing from Princess encouraging us to upgrade from Balcony to Mini Suite (No way, we see no real value). I imagine those with interior cabins are being bombarded with Balcony upgrade deals too. This will give them a few more lower priced cabins to fill.

I Had 3 friends on board when this happened. W O W they are flying home tonight or at least thats the plan now. They said the evacuation was pretty smooth. And the crew was very helpful. Interesting I heard about this 1st from you then they texted me. You are on top of the news and same with La Lida Loca. Thanks for getting out the info. 😊😊

Don the key word on their website. Princess can easily discount the cruise on a third party website or offer lower deal to travel agents. The price match is kind just marketing pr for people to book early.

Princess (carnival) wants your earlier "non-refundable" deposit simply. In the hope, they can make their next debt payment using your money.

From what I have been watching and reading, it sounds like the generator on the ship may have had a crankcase explosion which can be fatal to any crewmember in the vicinity.
