Could you use both comparing coefficients and substitution for the same question? e.g. substitution to find A & B but then compare the coefficients to find C?

What do you do when you only have (x+1)^2 on the denominator? The B has nothing to gain so what do you do with it?

What would you do if there's a follow up question that says 'hence find the first three terms in the expansion of (equation) in ascending powers of x'?
