The Les Paul modern is fantastic super underrated. The figured is the same as the first ones.

Not sure how people can make a judgment about this guitar without playing it, but I don't care much for the look of these. I was hoping to hear it. I have 2 of the HP's from 2017 and they are awesome. These, by comparison, are not as nice as the ones I have. They had a 4+ top on the standard and the all access heel which they took away and charge more for when they went to the modern. It's a shame people talked so bad about them without trying them. Oh well

You made some good points. Kiesel made a LP style for me. Cost about 2, 400.00 & has tremelo and real ebony fretboard & real Mother of pearl inlays. Gibson fretboards can be rough. Gibson uses "Mother of toilet seat" PLASTIC for many of their inlays. Kiesel is not bolted if you have it made that way. Cusom shop like Kiesel works 10 times better for me. Thank you-Great info.

I just don't get the figured maple thing (never mind the colors). It is like abalone being on everything in the 2000s.

its nice but you can buy a revised chapman ml2 pro modern for a grand, and it has stainless steel frets, which this doesnt, this thing is over 3 grand, im lucky to have gotten a 1980 les paul deluxe in 1988, they used to be reasonable then, now the prices are just outrageous
