Also, God waited for the sin of the Canaanites to be filled up: Genesis 15:16.

This man just talked in complete circles… none of what he said makes any sense 😂

“Kill all the men, women, children and infants.” Somehow that seems pretty hostile but maybe it’s just me. Certainly it is not discriminatory.

“God is not picking on a particular ethnicity” is not an answer. But his reply does remind of the time a famous Southern Baptist declared that God does not hear/respond to the prayers of a Jew. When challenged by others to explain himself he said he wasn't being anti-Semitic because he also believed that God ignores the prayers of Muslims, Hindus, or anyone else who was not a believing Christian.

Oh, it’s not “ethnic” mass murder, it’s simply divinely commanded mass murder of men, women, children and animals in entire cities. “Leave alive nothing that breathes… show them no mercy.” (Deut. 7:2) “The Lord hardened their hearts... that they might receive no mercy.” (Joshua 11:20) “I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the Lord: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them… A curse on him who is lax in doing the Lord’s work! A curse on him who keeps his sword from bloodshed.” (Jer. 13:14; 48:10--NIV)

Talk about avoiding the question.

Oh then murdering all of those people is all ok. Thanks for "explaining" that.
