The Armenian Genocide - Forgotten History

Some nations have come to terms with their past regarding genocide, whether that was a direct government policy or implemented by individuals, such as the United States with the Native Americans, and Hungary, Romania, Germany and Austria with the Holocaust. However, Turkey was also a major contributor to these dark pages of history, and they have never come to terms let alone admitted that they either actively or even passively assisted in murdering collective groups, such as the Armenians. Hosted by Colin D. Heaton. Forgotten History is a 10th Legion Pictures Production.

I’m Armenian I appreciate this documentary telling stories of my ancestors horrific suffering of injustice and oppression to unimaginable atrocities in such inhumane suffering. The pain still is very much alive and exists in every Armenian family that lost there parents or grandparents, my grandmother survived by escaping with only 1 child age 9 years old son survived out of 8 children that died as victims of the Armenian massacre. As an adult I had learned more of our history as Armenians our elders didn’t want the younger generation to here the horrible suffering of there ancestors and families, as one day when my surviving uncle sheared his story how he and our grandmother escaped as I learned the personal tragedy how both mother and son managed to survive months of suffering to stay alive walking in deserts trying to find food scraps or drink water from anywhere they managed to find, it placed a deep sadness in the core of my heart how much they suffered and yet kept alive. I am grateful that my uncle sheared his painful past. I pray for all there souls.
Thank you for this telling documentary 🙏🏻

I love how on this video about the Armenian genocide, Youtubes context feature (right below the video) is a link to the wikipedia article on the holocaust.

Forgotten history sounds about right.

You know you've hit a nerve when Youtube adds a context flag to your video.

Thank you for this video. My grandmother told me stories that her parents told her about the genocide. It’s sad that people still don’t recognize this as an actual genocide. I want to go see the Armenian exhibit at the Holocaust museum in Washington DC.

As a Greek half of my family from my mother's side was killed during the genocide around 200.000 Greeks also died during the same period while the Turkish government under kemal started moving the Greek population of pontos region to back to Greece

During the 13th and 14th centuries the invading Mongols murdered around 30, 000, 000 Chinese Peasants, twice, worse than all other horrible genocides combined.

Tragically the Ottoman empirical desires still live on through the leader of the Muslim brotherhood, Erdogan.
Christian martyrdom is seldom discussed in American public schools.
Thanks for today's history lesson.

Deny deny deny, just like the Brits do when they say they didn't wipe out half of Ireland with their famine/genocide

Yup, my childhood dentist was an orphan survivor of the Armenian Holocaust, as they called the genocide in those days. Nobody who knew him would forget this episode in history. He was born in Turkey. The Ottoman Turks also had a genocide of ethnic Greeks at about the same time, even more widely forgotten than the Armenian genocide. And it is still largely illegal in Turkey to tell this history, as it "insults Turkishness." Even though everybody who participated in these atrocities is long dead.

My Great grandparents lived through this. Afterwards, they left for America and came here the legal way.

Please start educating the world about the Assyrian Genocide

Why does YouTube feel it's necessary to blurr out historical facts/images?
A warning at the beginning would suffice!

Once again, excellent reporting. It is no surprise that the current Islamic government of Turkey denies this genocide ever occurred. Islam gives it's followers the right to lie to infidels.

Thank God! Shout it! It's not forgotten. Amnesia, and no apologies, denials. Sickening.

I discovered this crime after living in Glendale California and befriending Armenian people. They did not inform me, rather I discovered what happened when I was researching their culture. I read a dozen books about the genocide. My father-in-law was Georgian. When visiting Tblisi, I took a van to Yerevan to cry at the memorial. God shine your light on the Christian martyrs.

How nice that Turkey is telling the world how to handle Islamic terrorists
..when they still don't admit that's their history.

Wasn't there 3 in Turkey around this time ? The most famous one was the Armenian. The other 2 being the Assyrian, and the Greek.
All of them being carried out by the Young Turks

Yet, Turkey is still a member of NATO. Even though publically denying the genocide to this day.
