A few months ago, Josh and I had the opportunity to film an episode of a show called Discovering Home for Abundance Plus. If you are not familiar with this network, you need to check it out. Think of Abundance Plus like Netflix and Facebook for Homesteaders. It is good shows that are family friendly, so you won't mind your little ones watching along. They offer Netflix style docu-series, Master Classes, a learning library, and even texting access to some of the top homesteaders across the country. This is the stuff YouTube won't let you see. As a member you have access to everything through an App you can stream from all your devices. There is also a community platform as well, where you have access to other members around the world to connect and learn from. You can also connect with members on a hyper local level. They don't just offer shows, and how to stuff, they offer discounts with some retailers you may already be using! The discounts are huge, and members usually find that with their savings, it covers the cost of membership. They are adding new companies all the time.

I’m the 70’s my mom gardened and we ate what she canned. I helped but never learned to can. I now have 52 acres and a small garden. Our crop is hay for Ohio winters. We fed the animals ❤

I work full-time and have farm/garden my co workers think I'm crazy. They say that it's a lot of work. During covid we had what we needed many of them not so much. I love my farm work and wanting to do it full-time

From someone who is still in So Cal this is inspiring, although we are a bit ahead of you in years. We also have a large family, homeschool, homebirth, home based healing, scratching out our homestead dreams in suburbia. We swim upstream. That’s just what we do, but… maybe we would have served our children better if we had found community in a more rural place. It’s always been a dream but… we live in my childhood home in a beautiful state. California is beautiful, the landscape the weather the growing season the Pacific Ocean….ugh! My heart! In our early 50’s it feels too late to start over. But honestly the world is rough on young adults leaving home. California is pretty anti-everything we hold dear. I think you made the right choice.

I have a few coworkers that have really started asking questions about gardening, canning, sourdough, egg layers, etc. It's really fun to teach and encourage them as they begin to dip their toe into being a producer and less of a consumer. I absolutely love your channel. My oldest daughter respects growing food but it's not her passion but my youngest is very passionate. We both watch your channel as well as roots and refuge.
