I use 1 large bag of Fox Farms Ocean Forest(1.5 cubic feet), 1/2 large bag of peat moss(1 cubic foot), around 12 lbs worm castings minimum(3 small bags), 1 cup wood ash(cannot have been rained on), 4 lbs bloom guano(seabird or bat is fine), 1/2 cup Epsom salt. Top this off with a compost tea containing mycelium for a big boost in growth, plus a regular molasses feeding.

Pls always remember NEVER BREATH PERLITE DUST - wash it with water first or wear a mask

I've had great results with Coast of Maine Stonington blend. I only grow 2-3 plants per year for my own personal use, so $30 per year is not big deal. The growth rate and end results are impressive!

Down to Earth Bio-Live is a 5-4-2 and is loaded with fungi. It's a great mix.

people spend a fortune on amendments, just go to the woods and gather up some dark soil, mix in some gravel small and medium, you've got yourself a super soil

Just made a batch of another recipe potting mix: 40 liter peatmoss+woodchips potting soil, 20 liter wormcastings, 10 liter coco brick, 10 liter perlite, extra added: couple handfulls garden lime, epsom salt, chicken pellets, and a fertilizer called Supermix: minerals, trace elements, worm humus and seabird guano.
For watering i use biobizz Fish mix.

Subcool method this is cool to see.

I recommend Neem, Crab, Kelp, & Malted Barley powder @ 1/2cp of each, 2cps Basalt (over azomite), 1 cp oysters shell flour, & 1cp gypsum per cuft. Aka coots mix.

love your videos. new to growing so they are very helpful. Why higher in phosphorus than nitrogen? Don't you want higher nitrogen in the beginning during the vegetative stage?

I think using Nature's Living Soil super soil concentrate (which you briefly passed on Amazon costs about as much as the Azomite and Down To Earth All Natural Fertilizer alone and you do not need to wait a few months for it to cook. Check it out the reviews.

I like that you are slow cooking the biology. It would make an excellent top dressing if applied in small doses.

So I have a ton of soil that was made from leaves grass and sticks and stuff. It’s very black and amazing texture what could I add to it for growing some weed in? I was thinking the soil, perlite and pete moss.

Waiting for it to age is futile as the nutrients have already been thoroughly extracted and processed (e.g., earthworm castings, the nutrient blends, etc. are already broken down into a direct-use substrate). Moreover, leaving outside in the sun is going to invite pests, pathogens, and other undesirables that all indoor growers vehemently avoid.

One of your plants in this video has russet mites

Can this be used right away or does it have to sit?

What do you do if your soil mix gets infested with flies? I left the cover slightly off to prevent any mold…I think that was a bad idea?
