Thanks for having Derek on! Love his organic view of things. His is dead on with the water. It's toxic here in western VA. I invested in filtration and softener and it has helped tremendously. Thanks for all these little tips! That reminds me, it's time to make a tea! Great job guys!

Great podcast! Really usefull. thanks Chris for your work and effort to make us better growers! I grow autoflowers (11-12 weeks full cycle grow). No transplant. feed with water only from start to finish, no top dress, no teas, nothing apart from water (I just add bacterias-fungi, aloe and coconut water once a week). Final 5 gallon pot from the start. No run off. Autopot from week 4, before then I top water with capillary mats on the top of the soil (to avoid soil compactation and have an even and slow water distribution) . A super easy method is: supersoil mixed in the pot (not layers, full mixed), but the middle inner cubic liter (the size of the pot which you would use for the first two weeks before transplanting) of soil (where seed will grow for the first 15-20 days) is just the same supersoil but with no dry amendments (nutrients) in it. Doing so, you will end with perfect soil for seedling with no nutes and no risk of burning, the rest of the soil 'cooks' for two weeks with no waiting time (I keep it moisted) ..and is ready to go for your vegetative stage and explosive growth. This method + great autoflower genetics (the most important thing of all mentioned) = 150/200 g harvest for each plant in a 4x2 tent (2 plants). 300w light.

I've tried many seedling starter soils and happy frog is my go to. Just pull the big wood chips out..

I did my first soil blend weeks ago and I'm super excited for it! Seeing the life in the soil before you even use it is neat 8m glad I decided to prep my soil before using it right away

Compost has changed the game for me. I started collecting all the goose poop/chicken 💩 and composting it with leafs and kitchen scraps/garden scraps. Wow everything my Compost touches looks ridiculous 🤯 both my medical and vegetable garden 🙃

Aspirin will fix pH and ppm problems and water. I only add aspirin to my water and it fixes everything. My plants are always healthy and hardy.

I love cooking my soil with earth dust from the green sunshine company. 3-4 week cook with base keeping it moist produces exceptional results throughout my grow.
