Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) was originally developed to treat chronically suicidal individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). During this workshop, you will learn the research behind using DBT for treating suicidal behaviors and skills that can help you address those behaviors in a client.

Learning Objectives
1.) Discuss how and why DBT is used to treat suicidal behaviors.
2.) List the life-threatening behaviors that are addressed in Stage 1 of DBT.
3.) Explain how to use DBT skills in treating a client with suicidal behaviors.
