This is so helpful for parents. We have a 28 year old son currently living at home with a marriage spiraling into a divorce. This video gave me a clear understanding of how our sons mind works and so I can handle the why in the full-blown episodes and with pure rage. I appreciate you. I thank you!

I love the way that you reviewed the four skills of mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance and how their tied together.

I appreciate your resources and your compassionate style in delivering your information. So many struggle day to day to afford basic necessities that inside information to increase tools and awareness can only help to better our society or at the very least provide hope that supports are out there. Trying times from pandemic to crisis emotionally and financially. These videos serve so much to at the very least stimulate curiosity and awareness to encourage personal development and empowerment and empathy for all reaching for a measure of freedom or peace. Just my thank you 🙏 to you. ❤

I have been in community mental health for a year and at times the experience has been overwhelming because the populist so diverse. It’s felt like a struggle to learn so many approaches and interventions. Your video was helpful as you broke it down in a simple and timely manner. You are making a difference in this work and in my life as a newer therapist.

Keeping notes on how to handle distress tolerance is still useful for me, even though I have been through DBT therapy years ago.

Good info 🙌🏽 Can you do videos for those of us who are NOT therapists please?

I literally only have two ways of interacting: completely gushing/fauning, or a cactus. Which makes me socially inept and is very hard on my partner. I have no friends and really want to be a better person who isn’t just completely hot or cold. Everything I say comes out wrong and everyone thinks I’m annoying and weird.
