I’ve always understood that Deadpool’s power is just essentially super cancer which is a wild sentence.

That would explain why the kryll turned into cancerous blobs when they tried to copy his ability, and why all his clones lived very short lives, and why all the people that received organs that were harvested from him without concent died.
seriously, in one of comics a company were repeatedly drugging wade as he walked down the street and basically hollowing him out for his organs and selling them on the black market.

I don't want to be anal but it's still very much a healing factor, it just didn't cure his cancer. Like one of the key parts of his power set is that he does regenerate, the cells just aren't "healthy", like essentially every cell in his body is cancerous, but because the healing factor also constantly replaces these cells, they never actually turn into tumors that are deadly. However, this means that he is stuck in this state of every single one of his organs and tissues essentially "having cancer", but without the downside of having to worry about out of control growth and metastasizing

Yeah that sounds similar to some of the books I read. And don't get me started on when the squirrels managed to isolate the healing portion of his regeneration and injected into some of their warriors only to have their warriors explode from constant cell generation

Back in 1997 Deadpool healing factor was not healing him so he had to go get some of the hulks blood to make a serum to give him a new healing factor.
