Mojang needs to just take all those mobs, blocks, items & other features they poured into Legends and Dungeons, and just put them in Minecraft, where they belong.

Makes me mad that they didn't even attempt to fix the games issues that caused it to bomb in the first place... They made like 2 updates and a bunch of smaller myth levels, then shut it down completely. It didn't even get a chance to walk let alone run.

We love Minecraft primarily for its concept, Mojang, not for its looks. If you put these looks on another game with a dead concept then Minecraft players won't blindly consume it.

I think Mojang needs to realize why Minecraft Dungeons has done so well in comparisons to the other spin offs and that is a large part of the community enjoy the PVE experience. But unlike the base game of Minecraft, MC Dungeons gives something players want to see come to vanilla and that is more interesting and dangerous hostile mobs, more types of weapons and armor to use, more equipment, and different types of bosses. One reason why I believe alot if players enjoy Survival in Vanilla is that it gives some RPG elements but falls short in which MC Dungeons does so well in.

I agree, they used the name not the content to sell the game. I would have liked to give the game a try but couldn’t see buying it just to do the campaign because I didn’t want to play with randoms. Dungeons was a much better game, really wish they had kept that going or at least given the community the ability to mod it. What happened is a lesson for Microsoft. That if they're going to make a new game, they have to make it right, in order for the game to be well-received, it has to be done well, without bugs and without things that will turn players off, such as microtransactions, or the Marketplace. Minecraft Dungeons survived for 3 years because the game was much better organized. Minecraft legends had a lot of Paid Stuff and bugs at launch, but the game was also poorly balanced. The tutorial was way too long. The game, was just bad...

I think the sad reality of Minecraft spinoff games is that they just aren't as popular as regular Minecraft. We saw not too Iong ago that Dungeons was discontinued, and now Legends is discontinued, and the game isn't even a year old yet. I think Mojang should just stop making these spinoff games because they obviously don't last long like regular Minecraft. At least Minecraft Dungeons lasted 2 years, and the same goes with Story Mode, Earth, and Legends didn't even last a year and got discontinued. I wonder what Mojang plans are now, and I really wonder what they'll discuss at Minecraft Live 2024?

Minecraft was made by a person and with love and care. And it was made on the cheap. Minecraft needs to only hire small groups that want to pour love into their side games and make it mantainable for the cheap so u dont need to discontinue it. Like without online multiplayer ect. Because its a spinoff and even if its epic it wont last. If they continue to throw away tons of money each year on literal trash eventually we will watch the core game suffer. How much cash is being spent on the new movie and whatever new game they brew up that could go into the base game

Even after Minecraft dungeons was discontinued, I still bought it for PC last year because it's just such a great game! (I had previously bought it for PS4 when it released and LOVED it)

I feel like mojang should try making new IPs a this point. If the plan is to just throw money till a spin off sticks you might as well make a new game instead and not be anchored by the minecraft aesthetic.
