I LOVE how taking things for granted is explored in such a subtle but emotional way. Colin never signing her dance card, taking her into rooms alone, not thinking through how his words could effect her desirability and prospects, and him just feeling so comfortable in the fact that Pen will always be there for him is all such a perfect set up for the new season! I am really excited to see him fight to keep her.

Colin is one of the most frustrating characters because where he isn't actively he's accidentally contrarian

Nicola is truly an outstanding actress. She conveys so much emotion through her eyes. The scene around 9:50, before he says “you don’t count, ” is truly a masterpiece in terms of her acting. I can see every single emotion in her eyes. From the initial sorrow and jealousy when she thinks Colin met someone, the the brief flicker of hope when he says he got to know someone he’s known a long time, the heartbreak at the brief mention of Marina, and even the anger/bitter acceptance when he says she doesn’t count, I can even see moment of incredulity where she’s clearly thinking “is this guy serious?”. She conveys so much emotion without uttering a single word!!!! I think it’s my favorite scene showcasing Nicola, truly shows how good of an actress she is

I just wanna say you cannot tell me he was completely oblivious season 2, there is no way, just look on how he looks with her with such tenderness especially when he comes back from Greece. He already looked as if there was some kind of love there. Perhaps. Maybe he really just is a fool. I will say I’ve seen season 3 already and all I can say is. IT IS EVERYTHING 😂❤
