Love camping at Blind Lake, I’ve had a few great winter trips there. Sometimes I’ll pay for a night in the yurt too, do a night at Blind and a night off Halfmoon Lake. Instead of peeling bark off live trees I always bring a few little wax fire starters.

What campground? You can avoid blisters by wearing a very thin polypropylene white sock under a heavier wool sock. The thin sock clings to your foot and wicks moisture to the wool sock. Also provides a barrier against the friction. I’ve used this for 40 years and hasn’t failed me yet.
