Changing your Weber Gas Grill's Hose and Regulator (8511)

Показать описание
The Weber 8511 Hose and Regulator is a key component of your Weber gas grill, responsible for delivering from a Patio Gas bottle to the grill burners at a controlled rate. Over time, exposure to UV and other weather conditions can cause the hose and regulator to become worn, damaged, or compromised.

Using a hose and regulator that are past their recommended lifespan or are damaged in any way can lead to potential safety hazards. Additionally, a worn or damaged hose and regulator can impact the performance of your grill, leading to uneven cooking temperatures or decreased flame output.

Replacing the 8511 Hose and Regulator at regular intervals, or as soon as signs of wear or damage are detected, is crucial for ensuring a safe and enjoyable grilling experience. Weber recommends replacing the hose and regulator every 5 years* to maintain optimal performance and safety. However, local laws may require a different replacement frequency, in which case, it's important to follow your local laws.

In older grills, as well as two spanners, we recommend using a good lubricant, like WD40.

Mine came off the opposite way. I am in Australia, fittings must be different here.

For those who cant loosen the connection (like myself) pour a kettle of boiling water over the bolt. Thermal expansion will help loosen it. I had tried wd40 and it didnt help but pouring boiling water over it for like a minute, then using 2 wrenches worked like a breeze! You dont need a new grill just physics!
