La Bohème by G. Puccini - 'Quando m'en vo' (Aida Garifullina)

Lorsque, dans Scènes de la vie de bohème, les personnages imaginés par Henry Mürger se remémorent leur jeunesse d’artistes crève-la‑faim – le café Momus, les fêtes et la pauvre Mimi que la mort faucha dans la fleur de l’âge – c’est avec toute la nostalgie que leur offre le recul des années. Et si nous observions avec une distance comparable La Bohème ? Tel est le parti pris audacieux de Claus Guth : en situant à des années‑lumière les amours brisées de Mimi et Rodolfo, il crée un univers dans lequel le passé ressurgit sous forme de flashes hallucinatoires. Dans cet écrin surprenant, la musique de Puccini résonne sublimement et le metteur en scène retrouve l’essence même de l’oeuvre : le souvenir comme lien ténu qui nous raccroche à la vie.

Je viend d'ecouter le même morceau interprété par Aida Garifullina et Anna Netrebko. La releve est assuree et nous continuerons a entendre une merveilleuse voix d'une grande soprano qui a encore un bel espace de progression .

Am i the only one who questions wtf with the scenery? Really, astronauts and turning the subtle but seductive muzetta's waltz into a stripper singing? Sad what contemporary arts are doing to opera

So sad to see such productions...unfortunately not too many artists have the strength to say NO and we end up with stuff like this.. very sad also that big opera houses produce such things...hope I ll be able to see a good opera in the future, but not sure.. I don t mind modern things, but write new productions do not destroy old ones😞

Aida great as always, but the production looks like a joke. And I don't say that because it is modern, but because it is flat or not very thoughtful and I can't see what it has to do with Puccini's music and the themes of this opera.

Si Puccini viese esta porquería, estoy seguro, se nos muere de pura tristeza.

Esto, es un ejemplo de lo que NO se debe hacer. ¿Una ópera puede adaptarse a un tiempo moderno? Quizá, de maneras no vulgares y que respeten el POR QUÉ de un personaje.

Una Musetta seductora ahora denigrada a la cosificación más evidente (en la misma aria hace mención a apenas enseñar algo el pie, algo que ya podía ser pornográfico en la época escrita). Un escenario con astronautas (wtf!). Ya bastante grotesco es el nefasto plagio del musical “Rent” 🤮.

¿Por qué ahora todo tiene que ser llevado a lo evidente? ¿De dónde sacan a los directores de ópera hoy día?

Y antes de que alguien me venga a alegar desde lo subjetivo de su agrado personal: no, no está mal personificar a una stripper, lo que está pésimo es tergiversar la naturaleza de un personaje que es muy específico con su conducta por el autor (las partituras son no sólo música escrita, también son libretos, señores).
Respetable sería una ópera nueva con personajes a los que se justifique el cantar en un tubo.

Nos falta juicio como consumidores, para dejar de aplaudir esta clase de “adaptaciones”.

Che tristezza! Musetta che deve diventare una spogliarellista. Possibile che un'artista debba essere umiliata in questo modo per adeguarsi a idee registiche di un tale cattivo gusto? Come non rendersi conto che il risultato è solo goffo e fuori posto?
