Why are more people *actively* choosing not to shower? It's one of the biggest pet peeves I have. I'm honestly glad I got COVID now because my sense of smell _has_ noticably diminished and these walking landfills are making me look into unironically buying canned air.

Hey here's the context on the bathing in the past. It lead to illness like pneumonia, so many of the royal family avoided it. By the time it was the Stewart Era, not bathing was really only the highest classes or French aristocracy who were notorious for being smelly at the palace of Versailles. Infact bathing came into fashion with Marie Antoinette doing so and she wasn't French, which was to them another reason to hate her because she hated how bad the palace smelled.

The only valid excuse for not showering is if you have depression. If you're choosing not to shower, then you are disgusting. Go clean up and get some help. But depressed people don't have a choice in the matter. As a person who struggles with depression constantly, it is hard to even get out of bed or eat sometimes. And, I'll admit, I haven't showered in two weeks. It's embarrassing. I don't go anywhere out in public. I think I might at least try to get in the shower tonight. But yeah not showering is gross. I don't know why anyone would willingly choose to live like that.

I know sometimes having your shower is a bit of a pain when your tired or when it's cold. But I don't know how these guys can go so long without washing they get fired. It doesn't feel to be perpetually filthy, to have sweaty sticky skin and greasy hair all the time. It *does* feel nice to be clean.
