I'm glad you mentioned that it's the beard on the inside that counts - I had a guy in my old D&D group who fit the Neckbeard trope visually to a T. But he was a very polite, smart and funny individual who had a LTR and was happy with it, so I could not in good faith call him a neckbeard

Honestly, I’m not all that excited for Black Panther 2 for two main reasons.
1. I’m honestly kinda burnt out from all the Marvel stuff we’ve been getting and how fast we’re getting it, and the last MCU movie I actually enjoyed was Spider-Man: No Way Home.
2. Their decision to not recast T’Challa. Like, I get it, they want to pay respects to Chadwick Boseman, but now they’re going to have to write some kind of explanation for why T’Challa is gone and I have a strong feeling that it’s going to be a very cheap hand wave excuse. And the MCU hasn’t had a problem with recasting before, so why now?

And for the record, I don’t have a problem with Shuri taking up the Black Panther mantle because she did so in the comics for a time and I had a feeling that we would at some point see her take the title in the movies at least temporarily.
